DEMNA DOES IT AGAIN
On a Sunny Saturday afternoon in Hollywood, Creative Director: Demna Gvasalia unleashed his newest Balenciaga Ready to Wear collection. The Heat of the day was quenched with dark black Charcoal infused drinks. With a plethora of Dark, Goth on trend clothing along with some quite nice pops of bright colors including Bright Yellow, Barbie Pink and Green Grass Green. Many models carried the super famous EREWHON brown grocery bags made of leather. Yep, this is the place that has the ultra pricey smoothies where celebs flock for their curated vegan meals and supplements.
The Show did take from the 1980’s bright color mix of classic aerobic suiting along with some Dope Ath-Leisure/Health-Goth Garments. The designs on the runway and those worn by the many celebrities in attendance battled it out to see who wore it best. It’s so interesting to see how high level celebs get some of the luxury pieces prior to the show. Oh, but good news on this show, you can get your own quick fix fit on their Exclusive release website. Select & Limited items include: “No Logo” Jersey items, new 10XL Sneakers, Le Cagole Tote XL Bag, T-Shirts, Zip Hoodies and embroidered baseball caps
The Cat-Eye Oversized Neo-Esque Opaque sunglasses were worn by many models and celebs alike. Going to be a ton of #realfake copy cats on the streetz very soon. Will be pretty hard to make #fakereal oversized kicks. The 10XL’s luxury gym shoes have a monstrous amount of material. Would cost a pretty penny to make replicants. And OMG the Jacob & Co. x Balenciaga silver choker chain. Wow! Very nice. And did I Hear that they are making some customized chokkers in exquisite high quality Diamonds? You gotta dig a bit, yet it is on their site.
I especially liked the oversized gym look, the layered trousers and the on trend: Jackets made into Pants made into Jackets.
I gotta tell you I watched this show live in the hot sun myself, awaiting a happy meal withe the 2 free toys for my Grand-Daughter-Adalyn. I was taking screen shots as we inched our way along the lengthy line at Mickey D’s. Glad it was a long line, almost saw the entire show in the drive thru lane.
Make sure you listen to the Soundtrack by BFRND, It has vast amount of pertinent info about the world we live in today. I listened so well, I immediately took all our mobiles+ iPads away and went on an outdoor picnic with just talking, eating and knock-knock jokes galore. Was really good fun!

When I was watching the show Live I kept seeing a girl in the cat-eye shades here and there and seemed everywhere. I also found her in the screen shots and re-touched photos below. From here on in, she is officially “The Balenciaga Ghost Girl EXCLUSIVE VIP” It’s like a “Wheres Waldo” when you start to look for her, it’s pretty trippy. I suspect there were more than one ghost girl planted in the crowd. Demna likes to hide covert meanings of the world we live in, directly in plain site for all with a Keen eye to find and ponder.

I’m not the biggest fan of bright, sun blasting runway shows in general, but this one had enough peripheral visions to keep me enthralled. It was quite entertaining and there are some nice black clothes, which is always a plus for a high powered fashion house to avouch to me and many other creatures of the night. No one has ever feigned, floundered, mercilessly wearing black. Truly a Gothic Paradise in the Sun!
And the final look with all white look with a immense ode to Cristobal Balenciaga, gets an A+. And finally a pic of Demna wearing thick Balenciaga leather on top more layers of clothing…in Hollywood, CA.
*Interesting Note on the Coffee Cups: They are actually the 9AM Clutch. When you open the top there is a mirror underneath the lid!

Balmain x H&M Update-Sunday September 28, 2015
Vibrant Subway Style
The Hype is heating up for the Balmain x H&M collection. The September 12 Balmain x H&M Update wasn’t too long ago, when we received a great glimpse of the Men’s collection. Now we have some of the looks shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti. As seen on some pretty hot models/celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, Dudley O’Shaughnessy and Hau Yun Xiang.
When you love the Balmain world, you love the models that are part of it too. Kendall, Gigi, and Jorudan are my friends , and they are the perfect choice to star in the Balmain x H&M campaign. Olivier Rousteing, Creative Director of Balmain Paris.
The Balmain x H&M collection releases in store and on-line on Thursday November 5th. Time to start saving some $$. I’m expecting some good deals because it’s with H&M, but Balmain is typically pretty pricey designer swag. Who will play the lady in Grey?
50 Shades of Grey Search for Star Heats up!
The Search is on to see who will get the coveted role of Anastasia Steele in the movies from the 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy. Whoever gets the gig is set for at least 3 movies and probably 4 since most of these 3 book sequels make more than 3 movies. A Great pay-day for some lucky starlet and probably lots of sex with the male co-star. Some of these names come from the Gossip mags and some I just think would work well. I only read the first book and about 12 pages of the second. But no matter how the movie comes out, I’m sure it will be a Big hit, so whoever gets the part will be set for life. Actor Jude seen Boogie Boarding on Maui on New Year’s Eve. Check out his squinty eyed excitement as he catches the wave in the picture above.
I get a bit confused between the Actor on the TV show “Elementary” (Johnny Lee Miller) and the actor on the movie Sherlock Holmes (Jude Law). So, I was looking for all the tattoos Johnny has on Elementary and realized this is the actor from the movie with Robert Downing Jr. not the actor TV show with Lucy Liu.
Jude was on Maui Boogie Boarding or as many now call it Body Boarding with his son Rudy. Looks like they had fun, glad he caught a wave, the ocean looks pretty calm in the picture below:

And in “It’s all relative to where you live News” Here’s a picture of my friend KC from Power 104.3 wearing his winter garb in Hawaii where it is presently 73% outside. When I left Chicago this past Sunday (12/30/12) it was what I would call cold at a mere 17%. I guess the weather is like a big screen TV, I think a big one is 40 inches, while others think that 50 inches is too small and they need to upgrade to a 72 Inch TV. Cold in Hawaii seems to be anything 70% and under. Too funny!

FNO or VMA’s? Glad to have a DVR!
Fashion’s Night Out and The MTV Video Music Awards are on the same night this year. This Thursday Night. In the history of the VMA’s I’ve always watched them live. I can watch Football, Basketball, pretty much anything on the DVR, but the VMA’s? I think it goes back to the year Madonna did something and they didn’t bleep it out during the live version, then bleeped it out in the taped version? I know that was it, yep, but nowadays it’s not really live anymore. We wont be seeing the guy from Rage Against the Machine climbing the sculpture, the Madonna incident or whatever else we used to get to see during the first 3-5 years of the VMA’s. That’s ok now, I can go to Fashion Night Out, then come home and watch the Live DVR version of this year’s VMA’s. But why the same night?
I figure it’s better to experience something real and outside of the house instead of keeping up a silly tradition fo watching a TV show live. People Younger than me don’t ever watch anything LIVE anymore. Thus, I will be at this years Fashion Night Out with my camera and iPhone. Looking for prime suspects for streetzblog. If you see me, please don’t be shy of the camera. Because if I’m going to miss the VMA’s live, I really need to get at least a few good pictures.

And MTV reports that amber Rose will be rocking her baby bump. MTV doesnt report but I will got out on a limb,I’m thinking it wont be Amber that does something Big but it will be Wiz Khalifa. Kevin Hart is to host and Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Pink, Alicia Keys and One Direction are set to perform. Also appearing: Miley Cyrus, Mac Miller, The Fab/Fierce Five and others. *I think Kanye is still in Hawaii recording his album, but Kim K went back to the mainland last week. WalterFRENCH is still in town for another day or two and it’s still summer here, only difference is there’s a bit more traffic on the roads with school back in session.

Last Blog posting, we told you about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West (The Kanyashians) being in town. Today, we found out that more Kardashians are coming to town soon. From an exclusive from Life and Style Magazine, which I found through hawaiifiveOonline.wordpress.com, Kendall Jenner is coming to town to shoot some scenes for her acting debut on CBBS’ Hawaii Five-O.
According to Life and Style, Kendall will play a sales assistant in an episode set to air in October, that means she should be in Hawaii soon. And since she is 16, at least one of her famous parents will be joining her on the trip. So we’ll be seeing Kendall Jenner and either or maybe both Bruce and Kris Jenner in town soon too! BTW: Hawaii Five-O should be gearing up for a mid September Sunset on the Beach. Rumors are brewing. We’ll bring you the details (if it does happen) soon. And two weeks ago, I forgot to tell you, but my friend bumped into Mike Brown the Head Coach of the L.A Lakers. He was staying down at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. My friend said he was really cool and he got a picture with him. That of course he forgot to send to me. I’ll admit it, most of my friends are pretty flaky. But, most do come through, just on Hawaiian time.
More #celebsigtings by me about an hour ago, I was walking down Fort Street Mall and bumped into musician Walter French and DJ Romeo Valentine. Walter’s doing well, he’s in town to open up for the Big TYGA show next Thursday August 23rd at the blaisdell. Hit up Romeo Valentine if you’re looking for some tix, He’ll be over at Summer Wonderland Saturday night.

Kim Kardashian tweeted this picture. She say’s that she is in Hawaii on Vacation and calls this picture “Happy Sunday” After I saw it on Twitter, I asked around and my LIVE not read on the net this time sources say: “She is currently in Hawaii with Kanye West who is busy recording and finishing up his album which is due out hopefully before December!”
Then I asked my other source and he said “Apparently ‘Two Chainz’ is also here recording tracks. Word has it that Beyonce and Jay Z are coming to join Kanye and Kim”.
Now there is a very exclusive recording studio about 5 minutes from where my dad lives near Koko Marina in Hawaii Kai that is for sure and that is probably where they are most of the time, at least that’s where Kanye most likely is hanging. Me, I work at 6 radio stations and know 2 people who know the people that run this “studio” but for some reason, I have yet to me invited for a tour. I have driven by it and it is hard to find, kind of like the old Batman and Robin TV show, hidden under some trees, practically under the water in a corner with gates and high security. Maybe one day, I’ll get an invite, I’d be happy to leak a few beatz to a track if Jay-Z, Beyonce, Two Chainz or Kanye would like it? Up to you guys? Or I can stop by and keep everything quiet if you like, I can keep a secret 100%. We could always talk Kicks, I bet I have almost as many as Jay-Z and Kanye, hey maybe we can trade some too. I wear size 10 and have a pair of size 8 and size 13 Lebron firstGame kicks I’d love to trade or sell to someone.
On the subject of Celebs, a third source of mine got to check out the video shoot of the upcoming Tyga Video. Don’t forget Tyga is coming to town next week on August 23rd, along with Walter French and Glasses Malone. Both to really nice, solid guys. Wow, I sure got side-tracked tonight. I wanted to post up Kim then do a couple of polls. I guess I really must want to go to that Bat-Cave studio sometime. Here’s the polls.. First is do you think Kim looks hot or not in this shot. Personally, I like her Salt, Sun and Sand waves in her hair and she looks quite happy1 Second poll is what beach is she at? We all live here and can’t figure it out. I’ve heard everything from Sandy’s to Makaha to Kailua to Hawaii Kai. It’s so bizarre how 20 some people who live here can’t figure it out? I don’t know either, to me it looks like a neighbor island or the North Shore. So please fill out this poll or the other or both.
BTW: Last weekend Kim and Kanye were spotted over at Ward and also at a Starbucks somewhere on the island. Let us know if you have a Kim, Kanye, Two Chainz, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Tyga, Walter French or Glasses Malone spotting over the next couple of weeks. This Weekend’s Cocktail Small Talk Cheat Sheet-8-10-12
Well, this is an interesting blog today, I needed to re write it in my head 3 times already. Finally I settled on “This Weekend’s small talk” Here’s why I think I needed a better title other than “who’s the entertainment at the Olympics Closing Ceremony. It’s because, almost always, like 95% of the time, things I write are confirmed, real and true. This time however, the information is very sketchy and pretty hard to find. And if you’re going out tonight or tomorrow, you always need something to talk about, so why not say “oh I read it on the net, it’s gotta’ be true”. Well, who really knows what will happen Sunday evening, but this is the best I could do in the time I had and the limited resources that are being provided by the secretive police over in London.
Here are the 5 (Unconfirmed) CONFIRMED acts expected to Perform at the 2012 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony:
- The Who – I heard it at the gym yesterday and read it on the net.
- The Spice Girls (Reunion) – I saw the Today show this morning and they did not say that they were going to perform, but they did Allude to it. And I read it on the net. And D’Becks came in on the motor boat at the beginnign of the Olympics, I would suspect he will also be at the finale. And His wife has got to be close by!
- George Michael-I heard this on some radio station in Hawaii and also read it on the net.
- the MUSE-Most of the on-line English tabloids have these guys confirmed to perform live.
- One Direction-I heard this rumor way back in May and saw it on the net today.
Early on in April or May I mentioned that New Order, Underworld and Blur were going to play. I have my doubts about New Order right now, since they pretty much disbanded according to my seat mate at work, Underworld I still have hopes for since the man in charge of the show-Danny Boyle knows them pretty well from Trainspotting, and Blur, well I think I was in a blur and got them mixed up with the MUSE. a 4 letter British band that’s not electronic or street sounding-Easy thing for me to do.

Music Director of the Closing Ceremony-David Arnold has told the “Telegraph” this will be QUOTE “The Greatest After Party in the World”. Now what that alludes to is the Rolling Stones have been named “The Greatest Band” of all time, thus he may be hinting that the ENGLISH blokes-Mick, Keith etc may make an appearance. It does make sense, but there’s not much concrete evidence on it other than the quote. At least there wasnt anything at 730AM on Friday August 10, 2012.
Either way it goes, It’s gotta’ be pretty awesome. Hey and even if I didn’t see or hear it anywhere, I bet there’s still a chance that the Chemical Brothers might make it out Sunday night-they did produce the track that they play in the Cycle-Drome at this year’s Olympics. Michael Phelps x Deadmau5 x Josh Davis Headphones-Summer Olympics 2012

First: Thanks to everyone who’s been following Streetzblog’s Fashions and Fun at the Summer Olympics 2012. It’s been lots of fun to write about and even more fun seeing and meeting lots of new friends from America, Canada, Belgium, Great Britain, the Philippines, London,Ireland, Spain, Latvia, United Arab Area, Puerto Rico, The Netherlands, Belize and Brazil. TU!!
Second: I thought after I wrote about Michael Phelps’s Head Phones’s the other day we found all their was to know about the Sol Republic Headphones. But, what does Michael Phelps do? He comes out with a pair that I’ve never seen on the SR website, Thus I needed to investigate to find out what these were all about.
And OMG, I can’t believe I didn’t see it last night when I saw him come out with the new Headphones. I saw some writing on the top of the interchangeable headbands and just figured Sol got smart and put their name up on there. But lo and behold, I just watched the repeat on my DVR and guess whose name is on there? DEADMAU5!!!! How cool is that! The Best Swimmer in the World with one of the Best DJ’s/Producers in the World. Deadmau5 actually does 2 out of my top 20 of all times tunes-“Hi Friend” and “I remember”.
Now I know I need to get an HD TV, I for sure would have noticed DEADMAU5’s name on the Headphones yesterday.
Here are the details on the Headphones: Yes they do say DEADMAU5 on the top. they are yellow, red, orange and various other colors. They were designed by Josh Davis Who also does a lot of design work for DEADMAU5. These were made for Phelps, but the smaller versions of them were made for Cats, yes cats. They made 10 pairs of these for $999 each and the Sol Republic website says they are all sold out and has a waiting list for them. Now, I need to repeat that one more time-the Headphones aren’t available for you or me right now, but my cats and yours might be able to get a pair. Hmmmm? I personally have inherited 3 cats, but all their getting for Christmas is Cat Treats, they barely hang out long enough for a nap, I’d never get a pair of headphones on their scrambling, speed fuel’d heads. BTW: I bought some pretty awesome TYR Metallized Tracer Ti Goggles today, going to swim in them tomorrow. Today, I made it 4 laps with some borrowed goggles. The good thing is I can still swim pretty fast, the bad thing is the swimming sure makes my heart pound, hope it’s safe and let’s see how long I stick to this “new” endeavor in my life. Seems like right as I get good at something I don’t have enough patience and move on to something else. Although, I’ve kept up with the blogging for over a year and I’m not planning on stopping this, I’m way too passionate and it’s just too much fun! I’ll keep you posted on this swimming thing.
The above vid seems mostly like a marketing ploy and a good way to help a charity. I bet everyone who bought the cat headphones were either HUGE rich Cat Lovers, really dedicated DEADMAU5 fans, People with Money for non profits/ASPCA, or maybe a few who think they can get more than $999 on Ebay.
This Song is an older DEADMAU5 Song, that I played for years on my Soundz from the Scene Radio show. Actually played it before he was on the MTV Video Music Awards. I just played it cause I liked it. Here’s DEADMAU5 with “Hi Friend”

Summer Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony
Before the Opening Ceremony started they traversed through the sky and showed the England’s countryside. And low and behold one of the Songs they played a snippet of was “God Save the Queen” by the Sex Pistols. As the English would say that was pretty “Cheeky”. And I’d call it pretty “daring” since it’s not the nicest song to play with the real Queen in attendance. But pretty funny! And really no big deal since it’s gotta’ be 25-30 years old. Punk music is actually pretty old!
Then there was some pretty cool greenery in the stadium that transformed to an industrial aged city complete with the molding and fusing of one big golden O, then the other four O’s attached through the sky to form the Olympic logo-pretty awesome stuff! So far everything is pretty cool, although the music isn’t as hip as I had hoped, but hopefully that will come later.
Next up Daniel Craig/James Bond met the Queen of England and they walked through red carpeting with some dogs to a helicopter. It flew through the sky from Buckingham Palace Passed Big Ben, the giant Ferris Wheel. And arrived at the venue, where James Bond and I guess the Queen? Jumped out of the helicopter into the fluorescent blue stadium while the James Bond themed played. I don’t know though, her dress looked pretty red when she flew down, but then looked pinkish orange. So, not sure if she really flew through the sky. But it was still pretty cool.
Where’s Pippa? One of the most sought after bachelorette’s on the planet? I did see the two married chaps (Prince William and Princess Kate), but they didn’t look very happy. Actually they looked a bit too cool for school to me. Although, they probably take thier lead from the Queen who looked pretty stoic herself.
Next up, we got to see Mike Oldfield play bass to some slow then swanky song called “Tubular Bells”. This is when I got bored and thought about turning it off. But I’m still waiting for Mr. Bean and some ultra bangin beats to appear!
The real JK Rowling-the author of the Harry Potter series read a bit of a children’s book.. Then it was fun again with a giant 100-foot puppet of Lord Valdermort. Then a ton of Mary Poppins flew in to take on the giant Lord. And of course Mary P won the “fight”. The lights are bright, the stage aglow but Where are the Ravers? I do however dig the reddish orange, Cobalt blue and dark blue hue and lights in the stadium.
Next up a live rendition of “Chariots of Fire”, that started off looking a bit boring. (I’m really not a fan at all of classical type music). But then Mr. Bean busted out his piano and goofed on his iPhone, He then joked around a bit more, which was pretty funny as he dreamed of running in the a Chariots of Fire movie. He was losing pretty badly, but then got in a car and made it to the front..Where he barely won the race. Now that was pretty awesome!
Next up the digital age, this was a bit goofy with some fake looking goody-goody teens running around. But the music picked up a bit with some ska, The Who’s “My Generation”, “Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones (Meredith Vierra started to sing to this-ugh), The Kinks, the Beatles, Led Zep, Madness, David Bowie, Queen which played for a while and was pretty spectacular, then the Sex Pistols which Meredith and Matt cut off (ugh) and New Order, Frankie goes to Hollywood with “Relax”, “Sweet Dreams” by Annie Lenox, then OMG finally Keith Flint and the Prodigy did “Firestarter” and Underworld kicked in with Born Slippy-oh finally the good stuff!!! I rewound my dvr to watch the Prodigy and Underworld a second time. And it was funny when Matt Lauer said “whoah” whenFirestarter kicked in with the first beat and glowing Orange blast..hehe. Then rapper Dizzy Rascal came on with some LIVE jams with a mean beat grazing behind him. Next up, some Amy Winehouse and that rock song I don’t really like, Next some Hip Hop mini mix, and some low-key jungle-Then Out.
Next up, David Beckham blazed in on a speedboat dressed in a nice black tux with fireworks and a light spectacle all around him.
*Danny Boyle who did trainspotting and slum dog millionaire was the creative director of the ceremony and the person that put the whole event on. I’d say “Well Done, got the British vybe, some great tunes and that sure looked like a TON of work to Coordinate and build the whole thng!”
Next up the athletes came in during the “Parade of Champions” this is where we can observe the fashions of the teams with a bit of help from the New York Times: BTW: after the parade the Arctic Monkey’s played Beatles songs and Paul McCartney played 1.5 Beatles tunes including “Hey Jude”. But I’m not a big Beatles fan, so I didn’t watch-I read it on the Internet as you are doing now.
Team Fashion info:
Bermuda: Blue Suit Jackets and ties with Bright red “Bermuda” shorts and Skirts.
Italy: Giorgio Armani Designed Monochromatic suits and striped ties. BTW: The Italian sailing team is rumored to have some pretty nifty Prada gear that they will be wearing later this week!
Canada: Baggy Chinos and red track jackets-Didn’t quite match very well, was actually pretty off. I’d call it a bad take on 80’s prepster High School duds.
Denmark: More Chinos and untucked white shirts. I kinda liked this look, but would have exchanged the chinos for skinny jeans or black suit pants.
Cameroon: Bright Orange, Yellow and black robes and matching hats.
Cayman Islands: they had some pretty happening fluorescent green ties. But their blue jackets with the white piping were kind of’ ugly and too tight-did not fit most.
Brazilians: Lemon and Lime pants.
Oh Man-I didn’t know this went on so long, Not sure If I’ll get to everyone. But we’ll try and hopefully we’ll see some crisper clothes than all these ill-fitting camel brownish chinos. Must have had a sale at the 1980/90’s Gap store. Before designers produced pants that actually fit and look more tailored.
Guyana: Bright Yellow suits-extremely BRIGHT!
Hungary: Nope not going to wear that stuff. Yuk. Not even if you tell me a famous designer made the get-ups. Just plain ugly.
India: some very bright yellow dresses, turbans and scarves. Bright Yellow seems to be a big color this Summer
Netherlands: Had their duds designed by suitsupply with the women in Orange trench coats and the men in cobalt blue trenches and the men had bright orange pants. I dig the colors of the Netherlands – pretty sure that area is better known as Amsterdam.
Jamaica: Really cool militaristic jackets and probably the brightest yellow pants of the night! *I want one of the jackets; I’d wear it with the boots from the Czech Republic
China: If I liked the color red, I’d get me one of those nice red jackets with the subtle trim. (I heard the Pet Shop Boys in the background during their walk in the parade)
Czech Republic: Really nice sleek and pearlescent Rubber boots (Wellies) with matching umbrellas. These boots were one of the best fashion accessories of the night! I would for sure get a pair of them.
Cyprus: White, Orange and blue track suits, too casual for my taste. Looked like what they would where for the events.
France: White pants, dark blue suit jackets and red ties. While the Americans looked a bit French with their berets, the French looked almost American in red, white and blue..LOL
Israel: More white pants. Bright blue jackets and white shoes.
Fiji: They played the Bee Gees, I guess because it rhymes. Funny clothes. Black and White swirled jackets and white pants. Oh there’s those white pants again. LOL again.
Germany: the Women had on bright Pink Jackets and the guys had on bright light blue jackets. Both made out of some sort of plastic. Although, I did like their fedora hats.
South Korea: More white trousers. Nice white fedoras and ok looking blue suite jackets and ties.
Latvia: White pants and red jackets
Liechtenstein: The only ones I’ve seen in Jeans all night and faded jeans at that.
Monaco: Tailored skinny suits, pretty hip and happening.
Moldova: Even more white pants, this time with blue jackets.
Nauru: More ill fitting badly colored khakis.
Palau: Khaki brown pants, this time with maroonish red jackets.
Portugal: Light brown khakis, very brightly colored scarves with their country printed on them.
Puerto Rico: White pants, white hats, white shirts accented with black ties and black pocket squares. Pretty retro-chic. Nice choice, I just would have had them in black pants, not the ubiquous white.
Senegal: Bright Yellow dresses for the ladies and the same colored robes for the men.
Slovenia: Bright blue and green shirts, grey suits and since I’m a shoe guy, I need to mention they had on matching bright blue and bright green kicks on too!
Spain: Some guy had on a pink wig.
Sweden: Yellow blue white striped long sleeved RUGBY shirts. Was different that’s for sure. We used to wear Rugby shirts back in 1982. They attempted resurgence a few years ago, but never quite as big as they were in the 80’s and for sure not a 2012 style. Maybe if you’re a boat shoe type of dude.
OK, I’ve had enough of this after the rugby shirts and I gotta’ work Saturday morning. Where the Frik is England and London! Or as they like to call them-Great Britain. Oh Good they are playing U2’s “Beautiful Day” that will help me get to the end of the parade. I like that song!
America: Ralph Lauren designed Blazers and the controversial because “they make no sense at all” French BERETS! I totally do not get this at all. I sure won’t be sporting that look anytime soon. And get this! Guess what color pants-WHITE! Although the button down white shirts had Nice, Crisp Rounded Collars on them. And wait what’s going on? They ALL have smart phones and are spinning around in circles taking pictures and videos. That’s the only team I saw doing this all night and Almost ALL of them were doing it. Interesting eh?
Great Britain: White Jackets with Gold aluminum foiled looking accents made by retail chain “Next”. The backs of the jackets were actually pretty happening-the gold foil worked on there. And they had White shorts. Supposedly these designs were kept secret until today. Not sure why, doesn’t seem like I would have stolen any of their design ideas. Maybe the back design? But Hey the Queen almost smiled and Kate did smile! And they played David Bowie’s “Heroes” which was pretty awesome. *And after they finally played the “Chemical Brothers”. YAH!
Ok, I suspect this is the longest blog I’ve ever written. I guess I had Too much caffeine and exercise today. And it was pretty fun to write about the white pants, khaki pants, bright yellow, bright blue clothes and of course all the fun tunes they played all night that typically don’t get played at things like this.
