DSQUARED2 Spring/Summer 2022 Men’s and Women’s Runway Show-September 26, 2022

DSQUARED2 brings the HEAT to Spring/Summer 2022. The Clothes, the setting and the music all provided an entertaining event. But Dang! Tonight I missed sewing class. Worked on a WORK project from 5p-8p. I never miss sewing class, that is sacred time for me. Takes me forever to complete a project and missing a week throws me all off base. I bring up class because I know how hard it is to make those custom patch Jeans and cargo’s. It’s probably worth your $700-$1200 that they may charge for them. A lot of work goes into that fit

I thoroughly enjoyed the music. Up-Beat, Fun, Driving the show Forward, with some interesting intrinsic hidden meanings that matched the clothes. If you hear it a few times, you may notice it. Very nice music! The show gives us a vibe from the 1990’s Club Kid Era with modern cuts and colors appropriate for the “hopeful” Post Pandemic world we should be in Spring/Summer 2022

The show brought joy and fun to the Runway. Some dope pants for both Men and Women, all three, the cargo’s, jeans and the sliced and diced chrome collection. Oversized green camo with bright Orange Linings-A never miss duo. That’s in my top 10 for sure. The black boots with white laces and the overall vibe of the show was very positive and entertaining from start to finish. I may cut my air like the Asian man model. And did that shirt really say Boy Bitch on it!! LOL BTW: Not sure what the song is called, here is the info on who provided it @adrianoalboni But as of 9/29/21 there are no posts on his IG site. A great time for him to get noticed, but I guess he wants to stay UG (Underground) If any one knows the name of the tune, please let us know in the comments section below

As per usual, we watch the show, then do the Highlights and the Lowlights. Here they are for the DSQAURED2 S/S 2022 show:

  • Green Camo with bright Orange Linings
  • the Music My favorite part of the show
  • Black Combat boots with white laces
  • Ripped Chrome Mens and Womens pants. Especially the Bronze colorway
  • Greenish Blue cargos. Not exactly sure of the color but I’d rock them
  • the Graffiti
  • Patch Jeans and Patch cargos
  • White Cargos with black stripe
  • the Club Kid Crown

  • Butterfly wings on the guys
  • Shorts just about 2.2 inches too short
  • they walked way to fast for my brain to catch up with the clothes
  • the Club Kid Crown…yep it made both categories. Kinda nice Ode to Michael Alig (RIP) and the NYC Club kids, but also looked a bit flimsy and it’s always been too dorky for my taste

Banging Brands x Cosmic Zipper

Designer Brand Paris Etoile Pant S/S 2021

These pants contain MANY replicant Id’s from various brands. Including: Off-White, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Supreme, Unravel and Gucci. The pant features reflective 3M silver hits with Freddy Kreuger influenced scratches and an ode to David Bowie famous face triangles. Completing the look is a very complex oversized flo-orange zipper with skulls that glow underneath.

Pants were completely deconstructed at the seams to allow easier access. Underneath has Hits of reflective 3M silver and Glow in the Dark Skulls. Pants are slashed to have the underneath pop through. Includes jagged scissor cut at hem. The goal was to add as many brand names as I could find. Some tags are flown in from Korea, the unravel’s came with a pair of pants I purchased. And a couple other brand names came from a covid mask and a ladies hairband that I cut up.

If you need any help on how I made something. Just email me. The Big orange zipper was the most challenging. My sewing teacher was a great sport, super big help, but she still rolls her eyes when I mention the complex cosmic zipper. And yes, it really does work and the skulls do glow bright green. Makes the Black pant, Orange zipper and Green glow skulls come together quite pleasantly.

Happy Holidays from Streetzblog

The only thing that comes between me and my Calvin’s is Streetzblog…and maybe Kate Moss.

I usually do a pretty simple Holiday campaign with stickers and shirts.  In 2012 we had the SB logo in the original colors of black and red on white Anvil Shirts.  2013 I upgraded to slate grey American Apparel shirts with Orange and standard Gray colors on the logo.

In a couple of days, the 2014 campaign will unleash to the world. I’ve been seeing a CK Jean revival as of late. Mark Wahlberg is a huge movie star and Kate Moss is still looking hot and doing her thing after many years. So, with the help of Romeo Valentine, we tatted up the two and tweaked their underwear a bit. Be looking for the new stickers on the streetz of NYC this Thursday December 18th-23rd, 2014.  And possibly a shirt or two if I can get all the pieces to the T-Shirt puzzle to fit together in time.

Look to Streetzblog over the next couple weeks. Covering NYC:  December 18-23. And Chicago: December 24-29, 2014. In NYC, we’ll be reporting on the latest Street Style’s, Hottest Holiday Gifts, New Stores, Delicious foods, the Latest Kicks, Uptown, Downtown, and of course Mid Town-cause that’s where I’ll be staying. Chicago, we’ll be checking out some norm-core in the suburbs then hitting the streetz of Belmont.

Happy Holidays! Season’s Greetings! and Mele Kalikimaka!  Maybe I’ll see you on the streetz of NY, Chi-Town or back in HI for New Year’s.

While we’re on the CK Tip, let’s check out a couple of pictures from their upcoming Calvin Klein White label Spring Summer 2015 collection. Check out the oversized logo on the undies. Pretty Rockin’ Whatcha’ think?

Clippers Get Buzzed by High Flying Hawks-“Streetzblog on the Scene” 4-24-12

On The Streetz at the Hawk’s vs Clippers Game-4-24/12

I flew in to the ATL real early Monday Morning, did a bunch of Bizz all afternoon, then took a break at the Atlanta Hawks vs Los Angeles Clippers Game live at the Phillips Arena smack dab in the midst of the big City-IN DA ATL Baby!

The game itself was pretty exciting, real close throughout and very bangin’ near the end, looked like Blake Griffin was getting kinda’ pissed off.  He had over 30 points hitting almost all of his shots, but the D on the Hawks was pretty awesome in the last 5 minutes and the Hawks prevailed for the win. Much due to a close to half court bombing 3 pointer by Joe Johnson.

Since it was the Hawks game and not my typical escapade to check out the Bulls or Knicks, really good up front tickets were  fairly easy to obtain. AND for the first time in years, at face value!  SWEET like the TEA in the ATL! Above is an action shot taken from my seat behind the basket-my favorite place to sit for the best price!  Below is one more pic of the action, then on to more of the culture and street scene at the game.

Joe Johnson had on some of the custom HOTTEST J’s I’ve ever seen and that is a hard quote to say!  They were like a chrome blueish Purple all with the fly wire casting and the Jordan insignia on the back outside corner.  I tried all night to get a good picture of them, but was hard, most came out pretty blurry, but trust me they were FIRE. But I did get this up close and personal shot of him!

Celebs in attendance included the real “DR J”-OMG!,  Singing Sensation “Brandi” Rapper/Hip-Hop artist the Dream totally blinged out in gold and some pretty fly looking white black and red Jordans.

When I go off of the train/The Marta I received two free packs of the brand new Mentos, then as I walked into the arena I received a FREE Atlanta Hawks T courtesy of the Hawks and KIA and a FREE program-Wow-pretty nice!

Front and back of the Free T courtesy of The Atlanta Hawks and KIA!

Then I saw Dr. J-one of my biggest idols back in the Walter Payton/Dr J Days.  then the cool lights out! let’s yell and scream for the starting line-up-then the game.

Above-Art Like pic of the “Calm Before the Storm”  Used a bit of instagram on this baby!

Blake Griffin was wearing some nice red and blue Nikes-He looked just as monstrous as you would expect and plays without too much emotion, solid yet very emotionless. Well until the end when he got into some crazy scrambles right next to our seats, was pretty intense-thought they were gonna’ fight!

One of the announcers best phrase in a very loud voice was: “That Foul!!  .. was ..OFFENSIVE…MO WILLIAMS!”  The crowd loved the phrase I think more than the play..LOL

And you wouldn’t believe it, in my last blog I wrote about white Jeans and guess what, the guy two seats in front of my was wearing a pair! I’d say he was young and hip enough to pull the look off-And the Kicks and cell phone also added some flair to the look. and he had the ever sought after special grand wristband that let him go somewhere in the back for free drinks that looked like fancy bourbon.

And I did see a guy three rows in front of me with real Jordan 11’s released this past December, but I couldn’t snap a pic fast enough, but I did get a picture of these cool grey  11’s, not sure if they are real or fake?  what do you think?

I also bought a custom Hawks Jersey that has my main man Jordan’s number 23 on it and Streetzblogon the back.  When I was at the train after the game an 8 year old boy asked me who number 23 was? I said Michael Jordan, he said who? I said Michael Jordan and his response was “in your dreams” Well, I don’t exactly know what he meant, but yes, I will have good dreams tonite from my great day in the big City of the ATL.  I’ll probably add a bit to this blog some other time, but for now i gotta get some sleep. Aloha. Sweet Dreams!

Jean Trends for Spring 2012

According to Bloomingdale’s Loyalist email that was delivered to my Hotmail today-4/16/12, The Hot Trends for Spring Denim are: Dark Washed, Colored (in Greens, burnt orange and bright blue-that’s the colors I’ve been seeing-Bloomingdale’s just said colored) , Vintage and White.  I don’t know about you, but I’m not too keen on most of these “trends”. I can deal with the Dark one’s and then I personally would go with Distressed/Sandblasted/with rips and holes.  I suspect they are correct with the colored jeans being HOT, I’ve been seeing them in all the mags and menstanista sites as of late.  And the white is spot on as you can see in the Calvin Klein Ad below. But me, no way’s I’m gonna’ wear any white jeans, no how, no way.  They would end up black, blue, yellow, green and brown by the end of the day and that is plain YUCK!   Unless you don’t go out of your house, how in the world would you keep them clean!  I think I did have a pair in the 70’s. But that was the 70’s and this is now and no way am I gonna wear the white ones. Although the Green one’s do look pretty good on the model below. How bout You?  Whatcha’ Gonna’ Rock this Spring?

Air Jordan Retro 3-Jay-Z and Beyonce

Jeremy Lin has been taking up a lot of Blog time lately and for good reason. But since the Knicks lost today, I figured it would be a good time to get back to some HOT shoes and clothes. I was looking for some fun pictures of the Air Jordan REtro 4’s since they came out this weekend, but while looking for the 4’s I found this great picture of Jay-Z wearing His White 3’s and Beyonce has on her Loubatons-I gotta’ admit I don’t know much about women’s shoes, but I do know that the L’s are pretty expensive.  My sister asked me if I could re-create a pair for her since the pair she was trying to score were $3400 retail. This picture is from March 12, 2011 at a Nets game in New Jersey-Soon the Nets will be playing in the Bronx-That should be pretty fun! Picture is  courtesy of  Next blog posting will have the Air Jordan 1v retro 4’s in White Cement.

I also like this picture because they look so happy together and their outfits match nicely without doing the “Twin” Match, just nicely complimentary.  And I wouldn’t mind a pair of Jay-Z’s Jeans.  Everytime I see him he rocks some pretty nice Jeans and fatigues.

Lucky You Live Hawaii!

I spend most of my year in Hawaii, although this year I’ve been lucky enough to go to L.A and Seattle and in about a week I head to NYC then over to Chicago.  And since I grew up in Chicago, it totally freaks me out when I see people in Hawaii wearing winter coats! Just today as I walked to work from my parking structure, I saw TWO different girls dressing like it was 34 degrees outside.  The first girl had a full-blown red Down Jacket WITH Hood and it was totally zipped up.  The Second Girl was even more bundled up wearing a long black jacket down to her knees buttoned up and Yes, She also had a hood and Yes, she had it on over her head!!! If you’re reading this from anywhere else in the world you must be thinking WTF! like me!  It’s like 76 degrees outside.  I was in too much of a hurry to get to work, but this is similar to what one of the girls was wearing:

I saw a Girl wearing this today in Honolulu, Hawaii!!

I guess all I can say is cold weather is all relative to wear you live.  Cold at 76 degrees?  Me, I don’t really mind 35 degrees on up. When it gets to 17 degrees that is not fun for me! Well, now on to another subject. Last night I was prett over worked and the too lazy to post a blog so I tweeted pretty quickly about the fashions at the 2011 Surfer Poll.  The Surfer Poll hosted by Freddie P and Sal M  took place last night at the Turtle Bay Hotel on the North Shore. Now, here’s a couple of sample shots of what most of the pro surfers were wearing. Almost all of them had either bright plaid or dark plaid.  and most shirts weren’t flannel, More of a nice soft cotton variety.

Here’ another shot of the hipster plaid look that seems to be pretty in right about now. (“The Funk Soul Brother, Right about now”: Fat Boy Slim)

Pretty happening shirt December 2011

And here’s a picture of a shirt similar to what the great Kelly Slater was wearing last night:

My sister actually bought be a knock off of this designer dud at Target the other day.  I’ve actually gotten a few great looking plaids over at Target.  Check out the Missoni and Meroni Brands.  I especially like the feel and long-lasting material that the Missoni’s are made from.  I have a Missoni in an untraditional plaid of Orange, Blue, Black and White.  And my Missoni is Dark grey and black similar to the look as seen above.

BTW:  My favorite surfer to watch in the Ocean is John John Florence with Kelly Slater coming in a close second.  John John was wearing a pretty nice black suit with black shirt and dark jeans.  Looks like he’s gearing up for BIG things to come.  Right now, he’s surfing the best in the WORLD!  He came in 5th in Haleiwa, 1st at Sunset and Today he totally went off!!! at Pipe! He even received the first score of a perfect 10 today at Pipeline!  Hope the finals are John John vs Kelly Slater-that would be killer.

And since I’m going to the mainland soon and I have a new iPhone, I ‘ve been seeing a lot of these gloves in the mags.  Fingerless, usually made of wool. Some have some pretty cool stripes and colors mixed in with the all black gloves. Here’s a couple of examples of what I’ve been seeing in the magazines.  I’ll let you know if I actually see them in the Streetz of NYC or Chicago.

Been seeing these in lots of mags and the Express mailer

Must be cold in this guys house..LOL

And to finish tonight’s post off, I leave you with a pretty happening piece of Jordan jewelry.  Me, I like it, but I’m saving up for the Air Jordan 11 Concords set to drop on December 23rd 2011.  See you in the line-up, probably somewhere in Chicago!  Text me if you’re there and we can chat about what’s happening in your city for the holidays.  My text number is 808 479 9928.

HTMIIA-Clothes Tips

Since tonight is the Season Finale of How to Make it in America.  Here’s  a quick rundown on some of the clothes and accessories as seen on the show or on the actors in real life.

Kurt and Bart are the Costume Designers for How to Make it in America.  Their favorite place to shop for the vintage look is at the Fox and Fawn in Brooklyn, NY.  Here they’ve found 80’s costume Jewelry, Vintage Leather wear, Hipster Designer shoes, and Hot brands like YSL and Cacharel.  There’s also a record store in the back of the store.

Ben or as we should say here-Bryan Greenberg personally likes J. Crew, Kenneth Cole and Urban Outfitters. and his personal fav designers include Rag & Bone, Simon Spurr, Dior, and Alexander Wang.

(Much of the Info for this post is courtesy of and

The best overall article I’ve read on Kurt and Bart and the clothes in the show can be read here.  A quick snapshot is:  Kurt and Bart Looked to the Streetz and the Subway for Inspiration.  A typical male characters look would include: Jeans by A.P.C, Jackets from Freeman’s Sporting Club and Sneakers from Gourmet.  I’ve personally seen mostly Nike-no Jordans for some reason, but lots of Dunks.

Dont forget to check out the finale tonight on HBO, I’d write more but I’m late for a trip to the North Shore. Aloha.

The Girl with the H&M Clothes

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Book took me a whole Summer to read-Now you can just watch the movie! Photo courtesy of

H&M-The store that I label as”The Store with the most Hippest & Trendiest Clothes in Season with the Best prices” is coming out with a special limited collection of threads inspired by the Book and movie-“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”.  H&M announced on Wednesday October 26th that the 30 piece collection has “the dark urban feel that defines Salander’s character, with Leather jackets and trousers, torn jeans, and slouchy hoodies”.

Sampling of Lisbeth Salander's clothes picture courtesy of the

H&M which I visit every Christmas in NYC at least three times in 5 days, announced that the collection is designed by Trish Summerville, who also created Salander’s clothes in David Fincher’s upcoming U.S film version of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”.  The Movie is due to release in the U.S just before Christmas.  Me, personally I read the book and saw the Swedish Version of the movie and both were quite excellent. I really have no idea why they are making another movie of a movie that was actually really good. Maybe so people who are too lazy, wont need to watch the sub titles from the Swedish Version.

In regards to the clothes, since this is H&M-the last time I checked you can’t buy their clothes on their website-they are only available in store.  Thus when these release, if they are like any other limited clothing collection, there will be lines and the good stuff will go really fast, especially in the NY Stores. Because when I get to NYC around December 17th each year the newest collections are pretty much sold out.  The Swedish fashion retailer has stores in NYC, Vegas and Chicago amongst other places, but so far none in Hawaii. The Lisbeth Salander clothing collection is set to release world-wide on December 14th.  Best of luck to you trying to get your hands on the goods.  I’ll let you know if there’s anything left when I get to NYC on December 17 or 18, 2011.

For More information on H&M click here.  If you’ve shopped there before-Cool. If you haven’t just to let you know the prices are super awesome. The Clothes are right on point for in the “Now” Styling.  Just remember that they are inexpensive for a reason, they don’t really last that long and if you are a size L, I’d advise buying a XL, most of what I have bought there shrinks like A lot!  Cool! Super Fun stores to people watch at and a place I just got to hang and see what the streetz are wearing and I usually end up buying $100 or $200 worth of Gear and I do get a lot of good stuff.  Thus, I recommend them.  Just dont’ buy something you want to wear just ain’t gonna happen.

Flyer reminder for this Saturday’s Halloween Radio Show:  Request line for Saturday is (808) 956-7261 or tweet HiChiNY

This just in (11/11/11) According to Entertainment Weekly, these combat boots will also be available at H&M.  I like the zipper on them. And BTW they don’t come with the Duct Tape, You can add that if you like.
