YOHJI YAMAMOTO MEN’S SPRING/SUMMER 2024 FASHION SHOW – Men’s Fashion Week June 2023 Paris, France
For every Yohji Yamamoto show his clothing is the same yet different. He finds ways to display his exquisite, extremely well tailored, underground spy style of clothing, similar yet distinctively different each collection. These are some of the finest fabrics made, each garment flows gracefully and looks like something I’d love to wear to bed. Comfy, swirling effortlessly with the perceptible Yohji Yamamoto vision. Sweet dreams are made of Yohji Yamamoto.
The greys, blacks and purples were excellent choices of colors. There were vests on top of vests, layer upon layer of cool comfortable fabrics displaying high end unhoused chicness throughout the show. And I swear I saw a couple of outfits with various width pant legs on the same pair of pants. See if you can find this? And the use of a brimful of buttons is playful yet very stylish at the same time. There’s also some hidden Where’s Waldo sightings of various shapes of the letter Y throughout the runway show. Catch em’ if you can.
The show oozed comfort and high end fabrics that gave me comfort and a sense of warm sunshine within my soul. Yohji Yamamoto’s clothes look similar throughout the years, yet this show felt even more eloquent, more elegant, more high-end vagabond chic than ever.

Pharrell’s LV Show is Extraordinary Joy!
Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 Fashion Show. Pharrell Williams. Pont Neuf. Paris, France. June 20, 2023.
Love, Peace, Power and Joy filled the golden Paris pavement for Pharrell William’s Louis Vuitton Men’s S/S 2024 fashion show. This was much more than a runway show, it was a spectacular spectacle like no other. Even the Paris sky cooperated to a tee like it was painted and not just a illimitable gift from mother nature. Watch how the sky goes from a purple hue to a nice dark blue to picturesque night time bluish-black.
I’m a big fan of the billowy baggy luxe shorts we’ve been seeing for Summer 2024. The luxurious fluid fabric and drape glows and flows oh so sweetly as they walk along the golden runway framed by the famed River Seine. I would even change out of black and wear the dessert colored shorts, they just look so cool and comfy.
Pharrell brought along a few of his streetwear staples like the computerized camo and the circular sunnys. Yet, they were both elevated to the Louis Vuitton opulent level of luxuriousness. I also enjoyed the chrome sunglasses. Oozing wealth and rock star flavor.
The bags and especially the branded boxes were perfectly on point pops of blues and reds. I would lock my box and would also add a hand-cuff to lock it to my wrist. I wouldn’t want it to leave my person by any means.
Orchestral music, pianist, a bit of street hip-hop then the Gospel choir. OMG! Such a fantastic show. Not just a runway event, this was like a Broadway show. And having plenty of seats for people is something I give many, many Thank You’s to Louis Vuitton for providing. I really enjoy the fact that more were allowed to watch in person than a typical show. And very commendable of Pharrell to be so grateful to thank his team and then to bring them out on the golden platform. Very classy indeed.
There have been shows, that have the clothes, perfect settings, iconic music or the…I could go on, alas you get it. This show has it all and this is the sound of the Streetzblog mic drop moment.
Congratulations! Well done. Je suis tres jolie heureux et vous donne beaucoup de benedictions et un immense bravo rempli de joie! Scott Mackenzie-Owner of Streetzblog.com.

*Jay-Z wore bespoke Louis Vuitton. And at the end of the show he took off one jacket and put on another, then he and Pharrell put on a mini show.

Post-Apocalyptic Balenciaga
Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2023 The Mud Show Paris Fashion Week. Sunday October 2, 2022. #PFW22.
The show took place in the Mud in an imaginary brownish-black planet void of homes, stores and iconic Parisienne motifs in Villepinte, a commune in the suburbs of Paris.
Notables in attendance: Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Christine, Quinn, Anna Wintour, Naomi Cambell, and Alexa Demie. Kanye and his children, North West, Saint West and Chicago West all wearing Balenciaga.
Music: ELEPHANT by BFRND, UFO361 & SONUS030
Really Fun invites: Attendees at the Runway show received wallets as their invitation. Inside the wallets, were coins, credit cards, a gym membership, a picture of a cat, grocery receipts and other oddities you’d find in a wallet along with an ID of a lady named Natalie Antunes. Natalie is an employee of Balenciaga. On twitter, Balenciaga made a post looking for the lost wallets: The post said: Lost wallet. If found, please return it at 11:30am CET on October 2nd. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. I wonder if any of the wallets had any extra cash in them?
The start of the show went as viral as you can get within seconds of Kanye storming on to the muddy planet with a black bulky oversized military/high level security jacket, on top a black hoodie, Rubberized black pants, black gloves and some sort of mouth-piece. He was a man on a mission and other than the creepy model in the bondage dress at the finale, Ye totally stole the show and set the tone for Demna’s continuing ownership of best shows in the Biz.
The music rocks and flows as you watch the models traverse the difficult slippery muddy terrain. There’s something for everyone this time around. Extra Baggie pants and hoodies, and tiny puffer jackets, along with the new Balenciaga Tote Bag, bright orange clogs and some really nice paint splattered, distressed XL grey suit jackets. There are some luxurious yet strange arm-bags and some stuffed animals here and there. Yet this show is more of a spectacle than anything. I’d recommend, getting some chips, sipping an ice cold aqua blue beverage and lounging out in your most comfortable chair, turning up the volume and watching the video of the Show.
Once again, Demna takes us to the outer limits, hopefully not the world we will see, but the world that we may see, hopefully our species will elect to stay PRE-apoptilyptic and not the Post version!
Enjoy the show!

Exuding Elegance in Le Cite De La Mode
Yohji Yamamoto Fall/Winter 2018-19
Paris Fashion Week: March 2, 2018
One of my goals is to make it to NY Fashion week. After seeing the Paris shows in Feb/Mar 2018, I’m thinking a better goal is to make it to Paris Fashion week. This show is from the Paris portion of the Feb/Mar Quad Fashion Foray. New York, London, Milan & Paris. And it is Exquisite. Yes, Paris is the goal! Or as YY calls it on the IG post: the Cite de la Mode
Only doing Highlights today. The show doesn’t really have any low-lights other than the color brown…LOL I’ll stick with the 2018 easy to read, super-quick attention span style of writing with the fun fonts, colors, bolding etc.
Highlights:
Flowing, Graceful, & Peaceful
Color Palette: Black, Dark Grey, A Bit of White and some Brown
A bit of Bowie influence on the Make-Up side of things. Rectangles over one eye
Asymmetric, Bulky-Fluidity, Moving like a slowed down silent movie
Amazing hairdo’s
Classic, Yet a la mode, On-trend, Traditional YY
Comfy Kicks in Highs and Lows-Extra Nice Boots, Cool Tennies in Black and White
Did I say lots and lots of the color Black! YAH!!
Check out the crowd, it’s like they’re frozen in time, in a trance like state! I don’t think I saw a single person move the whole show. Amazing. And by the looks of the crowd, seems like they took their iPhones from them before the show? Maybe?
