The Crossover Culture B-Ball Kicks
The philosophy behind the Crossover Culture kicks is they are for all positions on the court. Since Big Men are shooting 3’s and dishing dimes. And shorter guys are rockin’ the rim with high-flying dunks, these shoes are made for everyone.
They’re designed by B-Ball players for B-Ball players. And their big selling point is they are comfortable str8t out of the box and the special LP cushion system will last a looong time before wearing out. If it wears out at all.
The Kicks come in both Hi & Low tops. I’d go with the Hi-Tops, up to you.
Here is the information directly from Crossover Culture as found on the EastBay Blog.
And below is a special YouTube video telling us more about the new Crossover Culture Kicks.
The Crossover Culture Kicks Drop on Saturday February 10, 2018 on Eastbay.com See you on the Streetz.
I spot Some nice Patent on This video
Last year, I was very close to getting a pair of Jimmy Choo’s. They were Black patent leather. They just didn’t have my size and it was 8:55 p.m-Not the greatest time to shop. I can’t quite tell what color these patent leather kicks are, but if they look as good in person as they do in this video, I just may need to re-visit my Jimmy Choo dealer. You may not even notice them, they flash across the screen so fast!
Also, it’s pretty sweet how this video uses 2 of the top 8 visual trends of 2015 in their video. Monochromatic Color and Sensory Immersion. These top 8 trends were announced earlier today (1/20/15) on an iStock Webinar. I’ll go over the top 8 iStock Top Visual Design trends in 2015 in-depth a little later this week. For those, who can’t wait, I’ve listed the trends below the video.
iStock Top Visual Design Trends For 2015:

Stay Styling when it Rains in Cons rubber Kicks
Rain and J’s just don’t go together at all. Next time it pours get your Cons on. Converse is getting ready to debut their rubber versions of the long-standing, iconic street and court Chuck Taylor All-Star High-Top. The perfect cop for your rain gear wardrobe. These kicks have a Wellington style upper that provides awesome protection from water situations. They also have a nice soft fleece lining, brass eyelets and a gusseted tongue. The Rubber Kicks go on sale on September 15, 2014 in the USA. In-store and keep an eye out for them on-line. Adults ($65) Kids ($45)
Looks like a great shoe to wear in the slush in New York City, to a big muddy music fest or on a hike on a rainy day. I’m kinda digging the Purple or Yellow pair or maybe the white and I’ll trick them out with some colorful sharpies. There is possibly a blue pair out there somewhere? Just hard to find the picture. Below are 5 of the colors. According to Converse there are 7 total color-ways. Some websites say 6 and funny thing is there are pictures on the web of of just 5 (9/7/14). Looks like Cons is keeping us on alert. Maybe a flourescent pink for October or I bet they come out with a hunter green or even a camo down the line.
Here’s a look at 5 of the bold, buttery, eye-catching, monochromatic, rain resistant colors:
What do you think of the new kicks? See you on the streetz of Honolulu. This Sunday I’ll be at Inspiration Furniture, the Hawaii Woman Expo and the BIA Hawaii Remodel it Green Remodel it Right show. Then Hopefully home for some food and rest. Have a nice Sunday. Ciao and Aloha. SM on SB.
Greenwich Vintage Shoes with Flashy Soles
As some may know, I’m presently on a clothes and shoes fast until the end of September. For a bit, I was quite upset and didn’t write for a week or so, but I’ve decided even on a fast, I can still look and write about what I find. I found the most amazing shoes on instagram! The Greenwich Vintage Co. When I first saw these I was pretty upset because they were so nice, but only 25 available. I thought, On a shoe fast what am I going to do?
But, Luckily not only did I find this pair on their website, but even better kicks to look forward to purchase in the future! You can actually customize your own super styling shoe utilizing the Built to Order Option. These can be made with a black, brown or camo wingtip top, mid sole, sole type, inlay options and even customize your width. Yet the best and most super fantastic awesomeness in these custom kicks is you get to choose your very own electrifying colorful sole from 12 different colors including:
- Dark Green
- Kelly Green
- Baby Blue
And the prices seem reasonable, I haven’t checked the details on the shipping costs, but the prices start at just $275 for these super slick custom kicks! *The black and Brown start at $275, camo’s are a tad more.
If you aren’t ready for the full-blown custom experience or want to save a bit of cash, you can grab a pair of your own shoes, choose a flashy sole, mail them to these guys and they’ll trick them out for you.
Or the third option, is to choose a pre-made pair of iconic colorways. As of today, there are 4 to choose from. Here’s a picture of one of the HOT options in black with red soles.
Me, when I get a pair, I’m for sure going for the custom-built to order pair. Maybe, by the time my clothes and shoe fast is done, they’ll have a pair of hi-top built to orders. That’s a good thing about clothes and shoe fasts, is things can get better as time goes by. I may miss out on the special 25 pairs, but I’ll be ready in October for some of my own specially made custom-built to order kicks from the Greenwich Vintage Shoe Company.
Here’s a bit more information on this company taken directly from their mission statement:
Greenwich Vintage’s primary focus is the re-crafting and re-purposing of wingtips, boots and chukkas with its signature in-house colored soles. In addition, the Company resoles and restores customers’ footwear with its signature colored soles, preserving and improving on the past for future generations. Greenwich Vintage takes pride in being keepers of the craft, in that all of our in-house footwear is designed and handcrafted by our master cobbler at our workshop in Waconia, Minnesota. Finally, Greenwich Vintage is proud of the fact that all of our products, from footwear with colored soles, clothing, as well as accessories, are MADE in AMERICA.
Check out this amazing video showing the making of the sole and a look at their runway shoe show:
You know, being on a clothes and shoe fast isn’t all that bad, it gives me a chance to search the condo for some special kicks. In the place I live, it’s almost like real shopping. Yesterday I found and wore some Green, white and Gold retro Lebrons. I received a bunch of compliments at the gym and many people had never even seen them before! See you on the streets of Oahu all week-long and at the Spartan Race on Saturday and Sunday August 16 and 17, 2014. I’ll probably be wearing some nice retro J’s or Lebrons in the Mud, some would say I’m crazy, but those are about the only shoes I have to choose from!
Durable Suits Your Comfy Kicks
Can you believe this suit? It goes ankle-deep into the ocean then later in the video the model actually surf’s in it! I’ve only seen this J. Crew Suit on the video so don’t know how well it would fair in the real world. From the looks of this video, it’s the perfect travel companion for your next business or pleasure trip. I don’t see a wrinkle in it either. Wow!
My feet hurt almost every day of the week, thus I’m always on the look out for some styling comfortable kicks. These look like a great find. Good looking enough to wear to work and according to the video, these should keep my feet comfy. I’ll take a trip out to the Red Wing Store and take a look at these. They could be the shoe for me. Lately my feet have hurt so bad, I’ve been wearing dark black Jordan 13 Altitudes in a size bigger than I usually take with an Ultra absorbent back pain Pro Pain relief in-sole from Dr. Scholl’s. They seem to work pretty well, just not the right look for important business meetings.
I could use both the suit and the shoes. Memorial Day Weekend 2014, I’ll be in Chicago, checking out my nieces High School Graduation. Until I buy something new, I’ll bring my Jordan 13 Altitudes and a John Varvatos zippered suit jacket that can double as a piece to use for warmth. According to my iPhone’s weather app, It could be anywhere from 37% to 82%. Both items are a perfect match if you’re looking for that How to Make it in America look that Ben Rocks.
What do you recommend for travel clothing and Kicks? LMK in the Comments section.Have a Great Week and I’ll for sure see you on the streetz of Chicago.
Hot Models, Chic Clothes, & Styling Shoes..Such a Wonderful way to Shop
This is such a fun runway show, I couldn’t resist posting it. For the Chanel Fall 2014 Paris Collection, Karl Lagerfeld held the show at the Grand Palais at the Chanel Shopping Center..a Giant Costco-Esque supermarket or as the French would say Super Marche. It’s time to stop Channel Surfing and start Chanel Shopping!
This is a Spectacular, Tres-Chic, fun show to watch. The Highlights that really stood out for me, other than the awesome setting are:
- The Multi-Colored oil slick sneakers (Easier to walk in while shopping than heels).
- The just under the knee Silver chrome accented boots and later on in the show a pair of similar bronze version.
- The small stylish metal grocery baskets. The little black CC Purse and the Luxe-Life CC necklaces and adornments.
- The Silver-Metallic Dress. It looks a bit like Chain metal. I like that look.
- The Over-Sized Silver and Gold Pop-Top Necklaces.
- The Big Black Headphones.
- The necklaces with the Giant Bicycle/Locker Padlocks dangling from them. I think I could rock one of those…
- My favorite outfit is the grey jacket and pants with the many holes in them. Very unexpected, yet such an excellent look.
- And I love it in the end when the models actually shop and the one man model in the show is carrying one of the models many, many Chanel Shopping bags. So funny!
Colors included Black (of course), Some light pink ensembles, a bit of orange, a few outfits with many, many colors in them and of course the Biggest trend for Fall 2014, the obsequious Grey Color. Women and Men will be seeing a lot of Grey this Fall 2014 and Winter 2015. It seems to be in every show in some way shape or form. When is that 50 Shades of Grey movie coming out anyways? The First time I checked it was November 2014, Second time I checked it was around Valentines Day 2015. Either one fits the time-table of the color grey for Fall 2014 or Winter 2015.
Hey-does anyone know why Grey is spelled Grey and other times Gray? I don’t get it. I tend to like Grey. Which outfit or shoes did you like the best? Did you spot any of the “Where’s Waldo” types of intricacies in the show..maybe the +50% Sale Sign? The Hefty-Bag Coat or the Little Black Tea? The more you watch the more fun you can have with this show. LMK what you find and let us all know in the comments section? I’m sure there is much more to find in your favorite Chanel Shopping Aisle. Jambon anyone? Have a Great Monday!
This Sneakerhead named Franalations has 800 pairs of Kicks. How many shoes does one person need? It’s just way too out of hand and foot for me to conceptualize. Although I am jealous of all those J’s. I thought 80 pairs was too many and I’m not quite there yet. LMK how many pairs of kicks you think are too many or just right? Also take a sec to fill out the survey, let’s see how many kicks the Streetzblog reader has. Should be fun to find out. I bet it’s around 25 pairs. That’s my guess. Have a nice Weekend!
About All I want to say about these, is would you where them? Cop or Not? Can’t tell who they are made for? Maybe Charlie Sheen or Lindsay Lohan Fans? Or kids, hipsters, I really don’t know? Fill out the survey and let us know if you would cop or not? Me-I don’t think I have anywhere to wear them to. If I can think of a place to wear them..then maybe. or maybe they were made so people like me would give them free publicity by writing about them? I really don’t know.
