Rolex vs Almost Rolex
Another Real x #Realfake

Not really sure what I think of this video. The Voice is that of an English Accent voice-over for a dramatic possible horror movie. Then it kinda’ rambles about 3D printing and how easy it is to make a prototype. I suspect what is missing is the quality of a real Rolex. Pretty sure they are wanting us to purchase the real deal. The video rambles so much I couldn’t tell what the 3 points were that they were attempting to tell us. Either way it brings up the big debate of wearing the Real Real or the #realfake version of things.
Back in the day the fake Rolex from the streetz of NY was easy to spot. Extra Gaudy and it ticked instead of smoothly sweeping. And went for $40-$75. It was fun to wear 3-4x at the Club, then toss or give it to a friend.
Since then, I’ve owned 2 x #realfake Rolex that smoothly sweep, both were about $100 each. The first, my friend with a real Rolex, got pretty upset when his wife complimented me on my watch. You should have seen his face! Priceless!! But then, on another night at a party, it was a bit embarrassing when it fell off my wrist and broke into 3 pieces on the ground. BTW: No one saw this happen but me. 🙂
The second #realfake I have is from December 2019. I negotiated for about 20 minutes to get it. Not sure who got the best of the negotiation. Seemed like by the time we were done, I didn’t really want it and he didn’t care if he sold it to me. Then before I could get the links right to wear it, Covid-19 happened and it sits in my home unwearable.
All Dressed up and Nowhere to Go has Never been more Real than Today
That takes us on to a whole nother thought about he world as of August 12, 2020. Why buy anything when there is no where to wear it to? All Dressed up and Nowhere to Go has never been more real than today. Kicks, watches, hoodies, suits, dress shoes, whatcha’ gonna do? It’s still tempting to purchase. But, there’s no where to wear anything. Flexing at the Grocery store anyone? I can barely get in and out without a nervous wreckage to my bodily system. Doubt I would even see you rockin’ your new J’s, Yeezy’s, Real or #realfake Rolex.
I’ll just keep mine in the condo, awaiting a vaccine party, hopefully to come in late 2020 or early 2021. Then and only then, I may or may not even wear it. Do things like real or #realfake Rolex or Jordan’s really matter now or did they ever? When staying healthy, eating well, drinking green juice, meditation and yoga, making and keeping connections are so much more important now, than Kicks, watches or hoodies.
As of lately, I’ve been secretly donating some of my rare kicks to the basketball court across the street from my home. Why? Not really sure. It just feels like something I want to do. Will I miss the kicks down the line? Miss the $ I coulda’ made? Who knows. Right now, I think it’s better to give them to the universe. And hopefully, make someone happy, even if its just 5% more happy. That 5-20% happier, could mean the difference between life and possibly something much worse.

Your answer, like mine maybe different today then tomorrow. Or as it is as of late. Our answers will probably vary from this hour till next hour. That is how it is around this world I live in now on August 12, 2020.

COMME Des Goth It
Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garcons label, Homme Plus bring us the Comme des Garcons Homme Plus x Nike Air Jordan 1. Two colorways: Black or White. Goth Athleisure best describes these bondage inspired Kicks. Complete with silver studs, silver circles ankle strap, premium leather and extended tongue.

Neo-Mint: The “It” Color for 2020?
2020 Color Trend Alert!
Ahh, so sweet to find a trend alert treat as easy as today. I was checking out the Y-3 site today (5/10/19) and they had a few pairs of kicks that had this cool light green color sprinkled in the shoes. See above for example. I’m thinking that looks like a nice color for Summer. Then within a few clicks I find this color mentioned on a blog and that WGSN calls it the color of 2020.
WGSN (Fashion Trend website) is typically pretty guarded with their color trends and want you to subscribe for a fee to access the good information. Thus, it can be somewhat of a challenge to find the Hip colors ahead of time. Well today, we have it! Neo-Mint!
*I almost bought a 2020 booklet in NY that let us know the upcoming trends, but it was $240! (And it was wrapped in plastic, so not sure what it had to say in it).

Like Walking on Pillows-David Tourniaire-Beauciel
The designer of the oh so famous Balenciaga Triple S kicks is the mastermind behind these New Funky, Chunky, Post Space-Age Kicks-53045. They feature a pretty cushy looking bouncy sole and come in eye popping colors including Popsicle Blue (Ice), Bright Orange Blast (Flame), Blacked out Black (Black) and White (White). With a Highlighter Yellow (Acid) color coming soon as mentioned on their IG.
French Designer, David Tourniaire-Beauciel has lots of good things to say about the kicks. They are Like slippers, and similar to walking on pillows. They do look pretty comfy from the computer. Reebok scares up some new Kicks

I’ll click on any video or ad showing street basketball and usually they hoop it up. This Reebok ad doesn’t have any Dazzling Dunks, Fancy Dribbles or Behind the back Passes. It’s actually…a little Scary. Would have been a good ad to save for late October.
It promotes the 90’s inspired Aztrek Double kicks. But beware before watching the ad, it might bring back memories of the Ring-(See video below the Reebok Vid). Or maybe some 90’s horror themed Anime?
Take a look at the video. Let us know what you think of the ad or the shoes in the comment section. What I came to see is it’s the first time, I’ve had Reebok on the Streetzblog. So Maybe, the ad did its job, got us talking about them. Hasn’t been since Iverson that I’ve worn Reebok. BTW: They recently released some glow in the dark Iverson’s classic kicks, saw them on twitter. Maybe it’s time for a Reebok-Come back in 2019?

Super exciting Triple Flexing Awesome Fun day at Nike NYC
Two Days ago Nike Double Dip dyed these Jordan 1’s in Day-Glo Green Paint. They also added the imprint I chose in the orange paint
Today, we got together in a group of about 12 and Customized our Jordans. Starting with the Swoosh. I chose Blue Alligator and Brownish-orange leatherbasketball material
Then came paint via acrylic markers. I will most likely tweak this portion a bit at a later date. We had about 2 hours to do everything. Like sewing and design class I was last to go home
Laces, Toggle, top flap and Lace tips are chosen. Many, many different colors to choose from. Here is the finished product. This to me was a $2,000 experience for a mere $200. And they are Air Jordans! Cannot believe my luck that this week was the AJ1 week. Next week is the Cortez, then the AF1. This Nike NYC store is a very incredible special place. Mahalo to Nariah and the crew for all the great help and supplies. My hands, shoes, jacket, even my face is colored in blue and orange!

Royce da 5’9 – Caterpillar feat Eminem, King Green – When Eminem FINALLY raps, he’s wearing the ultra high top AF1’s. Em’s always been a big Nike fan. Usually rockin’ the latest gear. Including his very own Jordan’s which go for 4k+.
The Vid’s pretty fun the way Eminem just stand there not moving. But when he comes on..Whoah! BAM, It’s on! (BTW: I can’t hear all the words but pretty sure it’s R Rated).
Dua Lipa’s – Blow Your Mind-Has 2018’s streetwear meets High Street on Fit. From Layers, to camo to slouch jacket, modernized Bombers to Big Jewels. It’s all in here. The only thing missing are the Triple S Balenciaga’s. They would have matched up nicely on Dua. Bonus: Banging, Ultra Catchy Hook on the Vid!
Drake-God’s Plan – We can’t leave you without playing this. It’s got to be the Biggest song of 2018. Even thought it’s now only May 2018. It already has 485,502,568 Views on YouTube! In regards to Kicks,I’m pretty sure I see some Triple S Balenciag’s in this vid. And you can see many alliterations of Jordan’s both Real and possibly some #realfake. Drake is donning Nike head to toe 100%. Rumor has it he is going to the dark side or Bright side (Adidas) Find it hard to believe since he’s such a big NIKE fan. There must be a story to this disfacuation from Nike. As of today, he’s still with Nike. But his logo has been coming and going on the new Jordan Raptors Kicks. So, we shall see if he stays or if he goes. Enjoy the Vid.

NYC AF1-100% Pure Fya!
Empire State of Kicks
Extra Butter released some sweet kicks earlier today (2/9/18) Nike Air Force 1 High & Low “NYC”. Nice Dark Blue Obsidian with Brilliant Orange swoosh and soles. With reflective velcro on the High Tops, matching the vibe of the City workers and Street Fashionista’s World-Wide.
The Back has a nice Firehouse inspired logo and you can’t miss the NYC on the front top. They come in High and Low tops. I for sure, prefer the High-Tops with the Reflective Orange and Silver Accents.

The sole has a bit of the Famed Pigeon Dunk flavor. My favorite 2 colors, the NYC Branding & the Reflective tape. Hope to get an email to get a pair. Fingers and Toes both crossed!

The philosophy behind the Crossover Culture kicks is they are for all positions on the court. Since Big Men are shooting 3’s and dishing dimes. And shorter guys are rockin’ the rim with high-flying dunks, these shoes are made for everyone.
They’re designed by B-Ball players for B-Ball players. And their big selling point is they are comfortable str8t out of the box and the special LP cushion system will last a looong time before wearing out. If it wears out at all.
