ID Presents the A-Z’s of DANCE
I found this video on Kitt Noir’s Blog. Check out these dance moves! Looks like they remembered everything. Do you see any great moves they forgot to include?
JAY Z and Beyonce’s RUN Trailer
Here’s the best movie trailer ever produced for a film that doesn’t exist. Some say it’s JAY Z and Beyonce’s way of taking attention away from the Solange Knowles elevator filming. I’m like, if you can make a video that quickly this good. Keep on keeping on taking attention away from Solange and whoever else and make this into a real movie. Can you count the stars in here? There’s like a new one every 12 seconds! So much Star Power! Did they really make this in just a few days. Hard for me to believe.
I noticed JAY Z, Beyonce, Blake Lively, Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Guillermo Diaz, Jake Gyllenhaal, Rashida Jones, and Emmy Rossum. Who did I miss?
DJ Amen and Don Benjamin at the JUMP

TrendCity or NotReally?
The latest trend in Men’s Jewelry is the Pearl necklace rocked by both Mega-Man of the Moment Pharrell and the longest standing Main Man of Hip-Hop Jay-Z. What do you think of this trend? Rock or Not?
I like pearls, especially the black opalescent Tahitian Pearls and some of the other pearls that change with the light. They are really dope when the light hits them and they completely change color. I say R-O-C-K.
Check out Jay-Z’s kicks, they look to me to be the He Got Game Kicks that Jesus Shuttlesworth/Ray Allen wore and were the most spotted Retro Jordan’s in NYC by Streetzblog in December 2013. I may need to get a pair of those. They keep popping up and being seen by me way too much.
Well, this is a hard one to admit, but I rocked some Pearls 17 years ago. I wore them to a family dinner in the suburbs of Chicago. I thought they looked real solid and something a Rock Star would wear. They were a strand of Greyish Black Pearls with a nice Silver chain. I seriously thought they looked very stylish. But, man I got teased right and left that night. I doubt I can find them now, but I did really have a nice lookin’ Pearl necklace. I think I nabbed it from my sister..LOL.
And if it means anything, I’ve been wearing a small dark pearl earring and an opalescent Pearl earring in by left ear since November 2013. My Diamond is still in my right ear. I’d like to take credit for the new trend or no trend. But, let’s give the props to Pharrell and Jay-Z.
This is not a commercial, but if you would like to get some Pearl earings or a necklace, Check out Na Hoku Jewelry at Ala Moana Center and make sure you ask for my favorite friendly store Sales Associate, SallyAnne. I always get my charms for my mom from her and I bought my two Pearl earrings from her too. It’s not nearly as fun as seeing her in person, but you can check them out on-line if you live outside of Oahu.
What do you think of the Pearls on guys Look? LMK. See you this weekend at the Harlem Globetrotters, University of Hawaii, and of course..either at the new H&M in Waikiki or Ala Moana Shopping Center.
*This trend was spotted and tipped off to me by my friend Rolanda.
A New York Holiday-Barney’s 2013
Barneys is going to be fun this Holiday Season with a Jay Z collab celebrating the vibe of NYC. Barney’s has collaborated with Shawn “Jay Z” Carter for this years Limited Edition Holiday Collection. Last year was the Walt Disney Company’s “Electric Holiday” and the year before was Lady Gaga and “Gaga’s Workshop”. In my opinion the Electric Holiday was a bit too family and young children oriented. I did enjoy Gaga’s Workshop-the Windows were very extravagant and the gifts although a bit pricey ($45 for Rock Candy) were well curated and I was able to purchase some nice gifts for friends and family for Christmas. I also liked the Gaga Shopping bag, it was worth the purchases.
This Year’s Collab looks to be pretty awesome especially for guys. Most of the offerings are for Men with some items being dual-gender and home pieces for everyone. The Color Scheme is simple yet effective for a NYC vibe; colors are White, Black, Silver and Gold.
The designers include a plethora of famous and in the moment Hi-Luxe brands Most of which can be seen throughout the year on on Barneys Website. The Big Names are a who’s who of who is HOT in today’s fashion world: Rick Owens, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Montcler, Proenza Schouler, Balmain, Stutterheim, Hoorsenbuh, Shawn Carter by Hublot, Elder Statesman, T Anthony, Acne, EN Noir, Roc Nation, and Just Don. WOW! That would sure be a fun premiere party to attend!
Some of the pre announced items include: a sleek crisp minimalist back-pack by Balenciaga, an 18 Karat Double Ring from Hoorsenbuh, A Hoodie from Rick Owens and a tailored Jacket from Lanvin. And probably the most extravagant item is a Shawn Carter by Hublot 45 mm watch with Alligator strap, a yellow Gold movement and a “Deployment Buckle” (What is that?) with a cost of $33,900. A polished black ceramic version is also available at $17,900.
Items will be available November 20 – January 3 at Barney’s Flagship stores in NYC, Chicago, Beverly Hills, San Francisco and Boston. With a few items available at Barneys.com prior to November 20th. I’ll be at the Barneys Flagship store on Madison Ave in NYC about 3:00 p.m On Wednesday December 18. I’ll let you know first hand what its like, For sure looking forward to it.
